Commission a mural

The first step is to look at your ideas and visit the site where the mural will be. I can usually make some suggestions and show examples of similar work.

Next I will produce some working drawings for your approval and if these are acceptable I will require a deposit to book my time and materials. This will be based on the size and detail in the mural, but usually 15 – 20%.

With my decorating background I can also carry out any base painting, although I am quite happy if you want to use your own decorator. Once we have got to this stage I can set a date to start.

On smaller commissions the final payment will be due on completion. However if the work will extend to more than 2-3 weeks a stage payment will be required at the start with the balance on completion.

Bedroom Scenes

A regular client (who I had done several broken colour schemes for) called one day ‘Phil we have had this idea for one of our rooms, what we are thinking of is a sunrise starting at a low level, turning into a cloudy sky and going over the ceiling into a night sky, and then in the darkest area we are having eighty LEDs fitted to represent stars, we don’t need reality, abstract will be fine, are you interested?’ Well what could I say; I’ll be there ASAP.
